What Makes These Hemp Seeds So Powerful and Healthy For Us?
The seeds of the plant cannabis sativa is a powerful plant that holds the
nutrient rich hemp seeds. This plant is chock full of essential amino acids
that the body needs. From there it gets much better. I found out that this
plant also has not just some but ALL of the essential amino acids and essential
fatty acids necessary to maintain healthy human life. The cannabis sativa plant
also the only plant that has these essential amino acids in such an easy to
digest form. The nutrition in these seeds are fast acting and is delivered in a
perfect ratio to meet human nutritional needs.
So I ripped into a bag because I
couldn’t wait to try them. I got a bag of toasted hemp seeds with a hint of sea
salt. They weren’t hard or tough to chew they were light and airy and had a
delicate crunch to them. The experience was very pleasant and the sea salt gave
them a nice taste. I must say that they were better than I expected and I found
myself reaching into the bag again and again. I could get hooked on these and
they were very tasty. Now, unlike a bag of potato chips or a jar of peanuts I
found that my palette had enough for a while. I actually put the tiny bag down
and I was satisfied. As a snacker of just about everything under the sun this
intrigued me. I found the experience very balanced and I was satisfied and didn’t
really require anything more than just a little water.
The verdict? I liked these very much and became a fan. I have to tell you that
my experience was very good and very satisfying. In just a few hours I had to
go to the bathroom and release. There is a considerable amount of fiber packed
into these seeds and it really went to work on me pretty fast. For those that
have a problem with constipation or irregularity listen up. These little guys
are your new best friend. I later found out that this was to be expected and
was totally normal.
These seeds are also full of magnesium.
Now the body doesn’t store enough of this so there is a tendency in the human
condition to come down with cardiovascular disease and immune deficiency.
Little did I know that by eating
these little guys I can combat and manage –
hypertension, cardiovascular disease and even diabetes.
Here is some information from the
official Cousin Mary Jane website:
Hemp - a superior source of Magnesium
Magnesium is the fourth most
abundant mineral in the body and is essential to good health. Magnesium is
needed for more than 300 biochemical reactions in the body. It helps maintain
normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, supports a healthy
immune system, and keeps bones strong. Magnesium also helps regulate blood
sugar levels, promotes normal blood pressure, and is known to be involved in
energy metabolism and protein synthesis.
Basically, it's pretty important,
yet according to studies, 50% to 80% of adults in the United States lack
sufficient intake of Magnesium. There is concern that many people may not
have enough body stores of magnesium because dietary intake may not be high
enough. Having enough body stores of magnesium may be protective against
disorders such as cardiovascular disease and immune dysfunction. There is an
increased interest in the role of magnesium in preventing and managing
disorders such as hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.
Magnesium is a kind of catalyst
that helps other vitamins to absorb into your system. Individuals with
chronically low blood levels of potassium and calcium may have an underlying
problem with magnesium deficiency. The health status of the digestive system
and the kidneys significantly influence magnesium status. Dietary magnesium is
absorbed in the small intestines. Magnesium is excreted through the kidneys.
Gastrointestinal disorders that impair absorption such as Crohn's disease can
limit the body's ability to absorb magnesium.
Some studies have concerns that
excess Magnesium from supplements may be difficult for kidneys to excrete, thus
making it important to get Magnesium by dietary intake from the foods you eat.
That old saying, "you are what you eat" has a lot of truth.
Eating nutritiously dense food
can be your best defense against many ailments, as well as the fuel to fight
health issues. Poor eating can actually be the cause of your illness and can
keep your body from healing. Obesity or excessive weight In itself can be the
underlying factor to many health problems.
Individuals with chronic
malabsorptive problems such as Crohn's disease, gluten sensitive
encephalopathy, regional enteritis, and intestinal surgery may have difficulty
absorbing Magnesium. To compound the problem, these disorders can deplete the
body's stores of magnesium and In extreme cases may result in magnesium
deficiency. Chronic or excessive vomiting and diarrhea may also result in
magnesium depletion. Is it the lack of Magnesium that is causing these
diseases; or is it the disease that is causing the lack of Magnesium?
What was first, the chicken or the egg?
When a person's body has reached
this point in the disease, it is truly a battle. While Chemotherapy may be
ridding your body of cancer, it may also rid you of the much needed Magnesium
which is responsible for aiding in so many body functions. Other medicines may
result in magnesium deficiency too, including certain diuretics, antibiotics,
and medications used to treat cancer (anti-neoplastic medication). Examples of
these medications are Diuretics - Lasix, Burnex, Edecrin, and
hydrochlorothiazide; Antibiotics - Gentarnicin, and Amphotericin;
Antkneoplastic medication - Cisplatin.
Early signs of magnesium
deficiency include loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and weakness.
As magnesium deficiency worsens, numbness, tingling, muscle contractions and
cramps, brain seizures, personality changes, abnormal heart rhythms, and
coronary spasms can occur. Severe magnesium deficiency can result in low levels
of calcium in the blood (hypccatcernia) and low levels of potassium in the
blood (hypokaleme).
Working on nutrition to stay
ahead of the game can be your best defense. Darker green vegetables, such
as spinach are a good source of magnesium. Some legumes (beans and peas), nuts
and seeds, and whole, unrefined grains are also good sources of
magnesium. One
of the most outstanding food sources for Magnesium is the hemp seed.
The hemp seed is one of Mother Nature's most perfect foods. The seed can be
eaten whole or hulled. Hemp flour comes from the milled seed and can be used
for baking or eaten as a raw food In a smoothie.
Eating Cousin Mary Jane's hemp foods
daily will help you get the Magnesium your body needs!

Dear Mr. Joe: I want
to thank you for sending me those Cousin Mary Jane Toasted Hemp Seeds. Not only do I like eating them but I gotta
tell you when I went to my Doctor the other day; (I’m diabetic so I have to get
checked out regularly), he told me that he couldn’t believe how good my blood
work looked. I told him I had been
eating your hemp seeds. He said he had
never heard of them… but to keep it up because it is the best counts he has
seen for me in years, “so whatever it is you are doing Elliot– just keep doing
it”. I’m going to need to get some more
from you real soon.

Cousin Mary Jane, I’m 86 years old and my son brought me
some of your hemp hearts to try. I have
to tell you, I hadn’t had a decent bowl movement since 1978! Boy, those hemp hearts sure did the trick for
me and I simply won’t be without them. I eat them everyday. Over the years, doctors had given me all
kinds of medicine to try to help me, but they made my system a mess. This is the best I have felt in years. I’m just telling you because I want more
people to know. I suffered for years and here is something simple that has
fixed me right up. Keep up the good work
and let other old ladies like me know because doctors just don’t always get it
and I feel I suffered needlessly for years.

Cousin Mary Jane, I had been to the doctor who told me I had
that restless leg syndrome. My legs were
hurting so bad they were waking me up a few times a night. The doctor had given me various
prescriptions, but nothing worked. I was
at my whit’s end and was ready to try anything to rid the pain and get a good
night’s sleep. Katie from
Total Health Foods

Wyandotte
suggested that I start eating your
hemp hearts everyday for my leg cramps. I took Katie’s suggestion and it was a miracle to me. After about 4
days, I woke up and realized I had slept through the night and my legs were not
hurting me. Thanks so much.

Cousin Mary Jane your Toasted Hemp Seeds helped me to lose
nearly 200 pounds! My body was in a bad state and I had been told by my doctor
I needed to make some drastic changes in my eating or I might as well walk out
of his office and go buy a coffin. I
found and purchased your Toasted Hemp Seeds with Sea Salt at Zerbo’s in

and it was the beginning of being able to start to control my diet. I feel like they literally saved my life! Don’t
get me wrong, I had to work hard and I made huge changes in my diet, but eating
those toasted hemp seeds throughout the day really helped to keep me on
track. I found after about 2 weeks I was
not craving the junk food day and night anymore either. The crunch was satisfying to me too.

Cousin Mary Jane I am an older woman who has been managing life
with diabetes for many years. For
whatever reason, I started to have a real problem getting my blood sugar levels
to stabilize and it didn’t matter what I did, nothing was working for me. I
came across your toasted hemp seeds at a store and the nutrition caught my eye.
I started incorporating them into my diet a few times a day, starting with
adding a couple tablespoons to my oatmeal in the morning, then at lunch I added
a tablespoon or so to my green salad. Sometimes mid afternoon, I would simply
grab a handful and eat some. My sugar was under control in a few short days. These
seeds have been really great for me.
My 84 year old mother suffered a stroke in 2004. Her
recovery has taken a lot of determination on her part; aside from dealing with
aphasia, she has done pretty well for herself and lives alone in her
condo. She started eating Cousin Mary
Jane Hemp Hearts every day about a year and 1/2 ago in a smoothie. At her last visit with her Neurologist, he
was quite impressed with the improvement in her brain activity and felt her
speech had also improved; making claim it was very unusual to see that kind of
progress so many years after suffering a stroke and at her age. I am not a doctor, but definitely feel those
omegas in the hemp hearts played a huge role in this – omegas are truly brain
food. The reason I think they are better than fish oil is because the hemp
hearts also have the needed minerals to help the omegas do their thing for your
body.
